Why Wegovy is hard to find

Wegovy is the same medicine as Ozempic at different doses, made for weight loss. It was in shortage from 2022 until early 2025, and lower-dose pens were the hardest to get.

The generic name is semaglutide. Pharmacists know it by both names.
